Kasturi Authentic Indian Cuisine for dinner or lunch

Lately me and my girlfriend went to Kasturi, a restaurant that promised Authentic Indian Cuisine. We decided to go there for three reasons: First, it is not far away from my home. Secondly, it is supposed to have excellent food. And lust but not least: You can bring your own bottle of wine 🙂 (we brought a bottle of Gallo Chardonnay, a really delicious one). This was a new experience for since we are not used to be allowed to bring our own wine.
As a starter we had a vegetarian mixed plate which was very nice. As the main course we’ve chosen tandoori chicken with naan bread.
We were very satisified with the food and the service, but it was kind of expensive (at least for students, because even without drinks we’ve spent about 26 Pounds). Unfortunately, I can’t show you the pics we took due to an technical issue we had with our SD Card.
By the way: The waiter told us about some healthy spices used for Indian cuisine, which makes it to one of the healthiest in the world. He emphasized Turmeric, which promises immense health benefits. The member of the ginger family aids in helping to treat arthritis, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, intestinal gas, stomach bloating, and loss of appetite.

Here is a list of 5 of the healthiest spices.

The webpage is still in progress. Check here

Portuguese Cuisine in the heart of Cardiff

Janis Sims recommends Madeira, a Portuguese Restaurant in the heart of Cardiff.

I haven’t been there yet but I will go for dinner next time my girlfriend is visiting me. To be honest, I don’t haven any idea about what the Portuguese Cuisine has to offer. However, the menu is a good read and I’ll keep you posted regarding my Portuguese courts experience.

Thank you Janis!
